Top Dog Wrestling Club has arrived! The newest club to the western suburbs of Chicago is being housed at Naperville North High School. The club is headed up by 7 individuals who all have ties to Elmhurst University, as coaches or former wrestlers, including Elmhurst University’s current head coach and NCAA Division I National champion Steve Marianetti as well as former Bluejay wrestler Ricardo Lamas who was an NCAA Division III All-American and top featherweight contender in the UFC.
Top Dog Wrestling Club is looking forward to its inaugural season this year. Practices are set to begin in September with a preseason session. Wrestlers who sign up will have the opportunity to get back into the groove after a long summer break and prepare themselves for the upcoming wrestling season this Winter. During the preseason session, practices will be held in the wrestling room at Naperville North High School on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm - 7:30 pm.
The wrestlers of Top Dog will also have the unique opportunity of working one on one with qualified trainers at UFC Gym Naperville, just one block west of Naperville North High School on Ogden Avenue. In 2018, 2 of the owners of Top Dog Wrestling, Ricardo Lamas and Matthew Kuschert, opened UFC Gym Naperville and have been training athletes to help them get stronger, faster and more conditioned for their respective sport.
Don’t miss out on the chance of being a part of this wrestling family! Sign your wrestler up today!
